the life and times

I've been told that I really ought to update this blog more often. I concur. Begrudgingly. I think it should serve its initial purpose and make it easier for all of you good folks to find my work.

So, we'll do that. There'll be a period of backlogged art uploads, organized by type of work, and after that, we'll have some current work as it comes.

Here's an old illustration for an internet competition. We were paired off and given a prompt to draw, my opponent and I received 'Ancient Legend'. This is my interpretation of that scenario:


A monster and some nondenominational tribesmen. Had loads of fun with the colors. The contest sort of fell through, but I enjoyed the process anyway.

the sketchbook

I purchased a new sketchbook a week or so ago. It's quickly become my favorite, demolishing all contenders in a bare-fisted beat-down of pulp and bindings. I adore the toned paper, the feel of the texture, and the spiral binding.

I will return to the comic as soon as I have enough spare time. Finals are drawing nigh, and I have to devote most of my time to homework.
